Perfect Love

Perfect Love - N1500

Unhappily married Onome meets her ex-boyfriend and "the love of her life" just months before her sixth wedding anniversary. Now, she can't get him out of her head, as she reminisces about way back when, recalling promises of unending love. It really doesn't help that they are now neighbours, and he seems just as interested in going down memory lane as she...

After Temi finds and reads his wife's diary, he is certain that nothing can ever make them whole again. To make matters worse, he has already found comfort in another woman's arms. How do you fight to keep a marriage that your heart is no longer in...?

If you loved Broken or An Emotional Affair, you will love this story about forsaken love, temptation, betrayal and redemption. It's an emotional telling from start to finish with lots of lessons about life, faith and marriage.

  1. In PERFECT LOVE, Ufuomaee has shown yet again why she’s good at what she does.
Captivating, Fascinating, and Revealing are used to describe my thought for this book.
The characters, I must say, just come to life and the emotions are so powerful.
The storyline is very practical with so many lessons to be learnt.
It is one of those books I’ll read again and again.
If you’re looking for a Christian romantic book to read, I recommend PERFECT LOVE!

  3. This book moved me in ways I didn’t think I could be moved. The story was engaging and fun and the pace of development was believable. I also really liked the plot and twists in the story because that is what life is….nothing is ever easy. However beyond the story, the underlying message was so clear and profound. It moved me to tears….this book is a wonderful resource for couples and marriages in our present times with the levels of stress, strife and failures all around us, I believe it is important to have fictional but believable works such as this, that give people tools and wisdom to forge ahead. Everyone can take something away from this one. Even if you are not in the same situation, this book will help on your journey. The counsellor’s messages and support were so on point….everything literally came together on this one. I also recommend reading the bible passages sprinkled throughout the text and reflecting on them individually and in the context of your own experiences. I believe this will be a blessing to everyone who does this. This is truly a piece of art. Thank you Ufuomaee!

I love the way Ufuomaee didn’t make the story to end quickly, especially at the point when they both made up initially. I want to say thank you ma and kudos.
God loves us even in our weakest moments, but our ability to get these things into our head is the issue.
Ufuomaee could have just written that Onome trusted God, even several episodes after her personal encounter with God in the hospital, she still choose not to trust in God. She just gave up and felt ‘see I’ m tired of all these ish, let me just sign these papers and free this guy’, and that’s where reality comes in. I connect so well with the lines and many of these things happen in real life. May God help us to remember that He’s always there for us no matter what.

  6. A Christian fiction writer’s job is to create a world so detailed, evocative, and spiritually true that, like Alice, you fall into it. Ufuomaee does exactly like that. In addition to its lovely, spare writing and complex characters, (perfect love) has a swift seamless story line and makes marriage and relationships completely beautiful. It takes an amazing and incredible talent to write knowingly about love, relationships, marriage and Jesus’s love for us. The counsellor’s messages and advices were so on point. I also love how I can read from both perspectives, how they were able to hear God and follow his ways after everything, how they were able to forgive not only each other but themselves as well. Amazing ma’am. I believe this a must read for singles and married. I’m able to take a lot from it and the Bible passages were well detailed and clean. I love how your stories make me closer to God the more. I hope it bless everyone that reads this like it blessed me. Thank you ma. You are a budding star on the rise. God bless you.

“After so many days of procrastination, I get to do this review.
Ha! @ufuomaee you are gifted! You are called and I must say this book is a masterpiece. No flattery you did justice to this work.
The story was well written. I couldn’t even drop it, you got me glued. The story was so unpredictable, at a point I even felt it was impossible for Temi and Onome to be find their love again.

Thank you for teaching the values of the marriage covenant and the love of God.
I also loved the fact you allowed to hear the story from both sides, we saw Onome’s view and also Temi’s view and I must say well done ma.
It is indeed ‘perfect love” you described in its true and amazing form. Thank you for teaching us that it’s okay to go for counseling in marriage.
    You are the Don o.

  8. perfect love is really really interesting, captivating and full of lessons. I was so glued to it. A perfect book for couples that desire to have a Christian home, making God the foundation of the home. Also it teaches that,as a Christian there are sometimes we fall into sin,we find it hard to stay away even though we so desire to stay away… That is where we really need God’s help and intervention…

Books from Ufuoma have always been books I usually don’t like missing because I sure know that there will be lessons to learn… Just like the church girl, broken, emotional affairs..
God bless you ufuoma, I pray for more inspiration..you will go places … Kudos

  13. I really don’t know what word to qualify the book, it just covers all. You know the kind of book you will read, create characters in your head and as you read, you imagine what each character is doing. Perfect Love is good for everyone, there are lots of lessons for the singles and the married out there cause I know we wouldn’t want to ve like Onome nor Temi and we would always want every of our own Lara to be happy children. If you are yet to read this book, you are missing out o but I love you too much to make you miss out si therefore grab your copy now and read, you gerrit!!

  15. Wow!
I finished Perfect Love in less than 24 hours because once I started, I couldn’t stop!
There were too many lessons to pick from the life of O. We can’t be too sure about not “falling” into sin because we think that we know God. In all, I saw forgiveness, genuine repentance, shame that was turned around and freedom from guilt and condemnation. It is reassuring to know that God’s love was, is and will continue to be the best example of the Perfect love.

    Oh my goodness!

I went thru it all with Onome. The thrill of meeting the ex, hoping he still liked her, not caring that the ex had a wife …it was so real!

The disappointment Temi felt reading the diary, the silent approval he needed to pursue love elsewhere, and the brokenness they both felt knowing they had cheated on one another. It was accurately depicted.

This book is evergreen, highlighting the miracle that can happen when you decide to pursue the way of forgiveness instead of hate, anger, disappointment and every other feeling that adultery brings.

Now more than ever when marriages are not lasting any longer. Well done 👍 Ufuoma. I loved it!!!
