The Marriage ABCs is thorough in its approach and how it shows the virtues that married couples should embrace and one that the unmarried should put in their bucket list for when love find them. The book talks about some of the least talked about subjects in love relationships especially in Christian circles -sex and sexual compatibility, for instance- while still maintaining God’s rule on chastity before marriage.
Even though the book discusses love and romance in marriage, it does not romanticize marriage but regards marriage as deeper than feelings.

Whether you’re single, engaged, married or even at the verge of divorce, you need a dose of Marriage ABC.

View CommentHands down, this is the best marriage based nonfiction book that I’ve ever come across. I mean, I practically over-annotated this book. Highlights, underlines, little notes and prayers scribbled in the margins. Oh boy, I was super blessed. Most of the hard topics concerning marriage was wonderfully addressed with the help of the Holy Spirit.
As a single lady, this was soooo eye opening and very relevant even for the stage of life that I’m in. I felt like I was in a counselling session. This book helped me to evaluate my preparedness for marriage, pushed me to bend my knees in prayers. My future husband should better thank God that I came across Ufuomaee’s amazing book.
Also, because I was part of a read-along organised by the author, I was glad to be able to discuss with fellow readers, share insights and ask questions about each chapter that focused on each letter of the English alphabet. (*Whispers… One particular letter was so intense it had 2 whole chapters dedicated to it. Can you guess which?)
Oh, and can I say that the book cover is an absolute gem. I mean, not many nonfiction books have covers looking this juicy and colourful.
The reading experience was fully immersive and I can’t overemphasize how much value I got from it. I highly recommend this book for every believer who wants to have and sustain a happy marriage.
